#LTHEchat no 18 Effective Engagement in Learning with Dr Rashid Ali @58r

Dear colleagues,

bdajhjajDr Rashid Ali will be with us for the next #LTHEchat to discuss Effective Engagement in Learning

Ahead of the chat, please read the following final report: Building student engagement and belonging in Higher Education at a time of change

Dr. Ali is a senior lecturer in Aeronautics at Sheffield Hallam University He is passionate about aeroplanes and specialises in aircraft design, embedded control and Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) technologies as his special interests. All these subject areas are well suited to the problem based learning scenarios and he has 23 undergraduate students undertaking design and build of three unmanned aircraft systems to compete in two National competitions, under his wings.  He is a member of the Organizing committee of the IMechE that is overseeing the 2015 UAS challenge.  He actively promotes technology enhanced learning and continually is seeking diverse ways of assessment and feedback.
